Murray Family Career Opportunity

The Murray Family Career Opportunity Award is a scholarship designed to support the educational and career aspirations of students from Central Alberta. This award is aimed at providing assistance to students who are enrolling in post-secondary institutions or technical institutes. Whether pursuing a diploma or degree program, recipients of this award will benefit from financial support that can help reduce the burden of tuition fees and educational costs.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Open to students residing in Central Alberta.
• Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary school or technical institute for a diploma or degree program.
• The award is available for students across various fields of study, with a preference of pursuits in athletics or mechanics.

Required Documents:

• Two signed, dated reference letters that include telephone numbers
• Transcript or outline of Grade 11 and 12 academic results
• Proof of enrollment in post-secondary institute (this can include screenshot of timetable, letter of acceptance, or registration confirmation. If you are deferring, you will be required to briefly explain why).

Each award has its own criteria, deadline and submitting process. Please read all pieces of the application carefully.

Note: As per CRA regulations, our Foundation is not at liberty to disburse the awards directly to recipients. Rather, we release the funds directly to qualified post-secondary institutions, which then credits the student’s tuition account.
